The Discussion Board in 7LMS is automatically created alongside the classes you set up. It’s a powerful tool for exchanging information and fostering communication-related to your course content. You can use it to facilitate group discussions, ask questions, share ideas, and receive feedback from other participants. Additionally, the platform allows you to create different rooms for various purposes—whether for one-on-one conversations, small group activities, or team discussions on specific topics.

Organizing discussion rooms for different courses or groups can significantly enhance the learning experience by promoting focused, structured interactions.

This feature ultimately supports a more organized, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where each group or course can have its own dedicated space for discussion and collaboration.

💡 Private one-to-one sessions #

As an instructor you may also create one-to-one private rooms to chat with your students or users! It is the most efficient way of privacy without asking their private phone numbers or whatsapp account.

1. Go to Discussion Board. #

2. Explore your classes! #

Here, you will find a list of all your classes. Students will automatically be added to their respective classes. To start a conversation or share information, simply click on the class you want to interact with, and you can begin your discussion.

3. Click on “+” icon to create a new room. #

4. Write your “Room Name”. #

5. Choose your students/participants. #

6. Click on “>” icon to approve chosen students/participants. #

7. Approve chosen participants. #

8. Click on Save. #

9. Confirm your request by clicking “Yes”. #

10. Click on the icon to see the rooms. #

11. Click on the room to start a conversation. #

12. Write your message! #

13. Your room is ready to go! #
