How to create a content lesson?

What is a content lesson?

A content lesson is a type of learning content designed to deliver single-page, focused informational lessons within the 7LMS. It’s ideal for presenting quick, standalone educational material such as short explanations, visual guides, documents, or external resources.

Content lessons are particularly useful for:

  • Introducing a topic in a simple format
  • Providing supplementary learning material
  • Sharing reference documents or links
  • Delivering micro-learning modules

They can be used as part of a larger course or independently.

1. Go to Workspace | 7LMS. #

2. Choose Lessons. #

3. Click on New Lesson. #

4. Choose “Content” as lesson type. #

5. Write lesson details. #

6. Click on Save. #

7. Click on “+” to add page to the lesson. #

8. Choose a page type. #

Each content lesson is made up of one page and can be created using one of four page types , depending on the kind of content being delivered:

1. Info Page

This is a standard informational page that supports text, image and videos . It’s perfect for presenting written explanations, instructions, or visual examples.

2. PDF View Page

This page type allows you to upload or link to a PDF document, which learners can view directly within the 7LMS. Text can also be added to provide context or instructions.

3. Embed Page

The Embed Page enables the display of an external web page inside the lesson via an iframe. You can include text alongside the embedded content to guide learners.

4. Extra Resources Page

This page is designed to offer downloadable resources . You can add an introduction and a conclusion , and list external links or file URLs for learners to access additional materials.

9. Add an introduction. #

Feel free to customize this section by adding your own introduction that best suit your team’s learning needs.

10. Click on “+” to add resources. #

11. Write resource details. #

12. Add a link. #

13. Click on Add. #

14. Add a conclusion. #

You can also edit this conclusion to reflect your organization’s learning goals or provide follow-up guidance.

15. Click on Save. #

16. Customize the lesson! #

You can customize this lesson at any time using the top menu. Add animations, images, videos, or text-to-speech (TTS) elements to enrich the learning experience.
Don’t forget to save your changes to ensure all updates are applied correctly!

17. Click on Complete. #

The Embed page is ready!
